Downstairs Bathroom Reveal

Our downstairs bathroom is currently 99% done! The best part? It only took us two and a half weeks. How we managed that? I’ll tell you.

After already renovating one bathroom, Justin and I knew what we were getting into. To prevent this from being a long renovation, we decided to make a “timeline” of sorts, to map out how many days it would actually take to complete all we wanted in the bathroom. Our projected finish time was four days along with “week work” to be done after work. This included small things like grouting the tile and mudding the walls. It actually took us six full days along with some “week work.” Not bad, huh?

We had planned for our bathroom to be done today, because we had someone come out to “touch up” some chips we found in our upstairs tub we had refinished last year. Although we were thankful to take advantage of our warranty, this left us without a shower for 24 hours. Not a big deal, but reason enough for us to be finished with our downstairs bathroom by today!

To have two, completely renovated bathrooms is a dream. It took many hours of work, lots of patience, and tons of planning. But overall it was fun, and something we are very proud of! In fact, finishing this project has given us lots of confidence to tackle our kitchen… Soon…
