Sunday Funday

Many friends on Facebook share what they do on their Sunday Fundays… I was thinking about this today and realized that the majority of our Sundays are filled with house work, but it’s what we enjoy! So for us, that’s our fun.

This Sunday was no exception. Justin and I spent the morning painting (which has slowly but surely turned itself into a dreaded job) and the afternoon doing some work outside in this absolutely gorgeous weather! The previous owners had a basket they kept in the garage for their mail. We had planned to put in a mailbox as soon as the ground thawed out, and today was finally that day! Along with a new mailbox in place, this weekend Justin raked out the lawn with the de-thatcher, mowed the lawn, and we were able to get some raking and planting done. All in all, it was a success!

I had never put in a mailbox before, so as you can see from my pictures, this was an exciting project! It was nice to do something that didn’t involved paint and took much less time.

Spring has been such an exciting time at our new home, because we’ve been able to see the many different plants around our home bloom! I went around the house today and took many pictures of some of the flowers and plants we have in our gardens.

My aunt gave us a beautiful forsythia plant, which we found a perfect place for today!

You have to know that while Justin and I are doing all of this work, Baylee is too!

And because I have yet to post a picture of the outside of our house, here is our sweet home by the sea!

Until next time..
